The Mortgage Payoff

March 2nd, 2012 at 02:22 pm

Currently I am adding $20.25 extra to my mortgage payment each month. And right now, I have more going to the principal than the interest each month. That has me paying off my mortgage in 11 1/2 years. That is so exciting to me, because in the next couple of months I am going to make a huge dent in my Debt repayment, so instead of me owing on my debt for the next 4 years, I have implemented a plan to have it paid off in 2 years, which I can then add more to my mortgage each month.

My goal is to have my mortgage paid off in 9 years and 2 months or May 2021, my birthday month in which I turn 60, shaving off 2 years 4 months.
